What is the crash rating of our portable bollards?+
The TB100 portable crash rated bollards are crash tested to ASTM M30/P3, which means it is designed to withstand an impact of a 15,000 pound vehicle at 30 miles per hour. They are crash tested in a series of 5 portable bollards connected together with a cable or chain. This configuration covers 20’ of coverage.
In a series of 10 TB100 bollards connected together, it was tested to ASTM M50/P3, which means it was impacted with a 15,000 pound vehicle at 50 miles per hour. This configuration covers 40’ of coverage.
A single TB100 bollard absorbs 400,000 foot pounds of kinetic energy.
How are they set up and transported?+
The TB100 portable bollards use a proprietary jack to move individual units into position. Once they are put into a position, the cable is connected through the top of each bollard and secured. They can also be moved with a forklift.
They require no excavation and are completely surface mounted, with anchoring options available. Drilled and tapped holes are provided for lifting eye bolts and cable attachments.
What options are available?+
The TB100 portable bollards have custom color and logo options, as well as specialized transportation and storage packages. When used in conjunction with the Mobile Wedge Barrier in a tested configuration, they can increase the crash rating of the Mobile Wedge Barrier to M50/P3.
There are ADA accessible pedestrian portables which can be integrated into the barrier line.
What is the weight and dimensions of the TB100 Portable Bollard?+
Each individual bollard is 30’’ in height and the bollard top plate is 30’’. The weight of an individual bollard is approximately 800 pounds.
